SmartBusShelter is an innovative solution for public transport that combines advanced technology, safety features and passenger services. This smart bus stop enhances the comfort, safety and digitalisation of the public space with Wi-Fi connectivity, an interactive information display, security cameras, air quality sensors and eco-friendly solutions. The bus stop is equipped with an SOS button for emergency situations, automatic disinfectant dispenser, USB and 230V sockets for charging devices and solar panels for energy efficiency. In addition, it includes a touchscreen LCD display that provides traffic information, advertising space and tourist information. The system is linked to the city’s control centres, allowing for security monitoring, traffic incident detection and bus stop occupancy analysis.
